Deciding to become an independent seller of Barefoot Books and start my own business scared me. I have been a stay-at-home mother with my two daughters for about five years now and getting back into the working world, even if it means working for myself, is scary. I discovered Barefoot Books after I saw Whole World mentioned in O magazine. I requested a catalog and I fell in love with this company. Almost immediately, I wanted to be involved with it. Barefoot Books offers a stallholding program which allows people to become independent sellers of their products. If you knew me personally, you wouldn’t call me a risk-taker. In fact, I’m not very adventurous at all and like knowing what comes next. But for some reason, I got this feeling that starting a business was what I should do and I signed up, formed a LLC, registered with my state and here I am – Montclair, NJ’s Barefoot Books stallholder.
